Gloucestershire Dunlop Winter Mixed League 2015/16

The level of support for our mixed teams meant that for the first time for several years we were able to field a 'B' Team during the winter.

The A-Team finished 4th in Division 3, retaining their place for the forthcoming 2016/17 season. No doubt the team will be making a strong push for promotion for the 2017 season. Many thanks to Nila More (Captain), Carole Bankes, Martin Sime, Rob Ralph, Dan Sutherland, Rosemary Holland, Matthew Cartwright, Bob Reid, Caroline Hodge and Andy Gray who played during the cold and sometimes brutal winter months.

The B-Team debuting in Division 7 finished top and were crowned as Champions gaining promotion to Division 6 for 2016/17. Congratulations to Carol Smith (Captain), Rob Ralph, Claire Ralph, Andy Gray, Barbara Stevens, Ronnie Stevens, Caroline Hodge, Tim Troughton, Malcolm Waters, Polly Christian and Rosemary Holland who played during some challenging conditions in the winter months.

Men's Aegon Team

The Men's Team debuted in Men's Aegon County Division 1 in Springtime. This was a significant addition to league competition for the club and would serve well as preparation for the Dunlop Summer Leagues. Each match consists of four singles rubbers and two doubles with a team of 4-6 players. The Team consisted of Rob Ralph (Captain), Martin Sime, Dan Sutherland, Andy Gray, Chris Richardson and Matthew Cartwright. The team finished with a record of Played 3, Won 1, Lost 2. This was a respectable start in our first campaign against seasoned teams experienced in this format.
